For several years, Terracotta and the Patriot Art Foundation, led by world-renowned watercolorist Mary Whyte, have partnered to bring online watercolor instruction to Veterans of the United States military at no cost. Now, for Winter 2026, that mission expands, branching into classical drawing with a brand-new bootcamp.

Join award-winning artist, Air Force veteran, and instructor Timothy Gagnon for a dynamic and empowering drawing course rooted in the time-honored methods of the Old Masters. Whether you’ve never picked up a pencil or you’re looking to build on your skills, this accessible bootcamp will introduce you to the fundamentals of Classical Atelier drawing—focusing on proportion, gesture, shadow, and structure. This course is free and open to all Veterans.

This introduction to Classical Drawing includes:

• 7 Pre-Recorded Lessons with clear instruction and foundational drawing concepts
• 19 Demonstration Videos to guide you step-by-step through classical techniques
• 3 Live Sessions with Tim for Q&A, encouragement, and feedback
• Training in gesture drawing, value structure, contour, and form
